"Wines with an ancient charm but a modern face."
- Region
- Campania — Sannio
- Current management
- Enzo Rillo
Enzo Rillo, the driving force behind La Fortezza in the Campania region, was first a successful entrepreneur in construction, road safety and textiles before deciding to throw himself into winegrowing. As the son of farmers he spent his youth running around the fields in Torrecuso and grew up in nature. Combining his love of the land with the latest technology and professionalism is his mission.
In the province of Benevento we discovered his splendid wines. The province of Benevento has produced excellent wines for centuries and accounts for about 40% of winegrowing in the Campania region. Torrecuso, where La Fortezza is located, stretches along the eastern side of the Taburno-Camposauro regional park: the slopes are a succession of vineyards, woods and small clearings at the foot of Mount Taburno.
"They are born as a sign of love for a unique land."— Renzo Lillo, La Fortezza
