Hereinafter referred to as "Appia Vini", "we" or "us".

Article 2 — Scope

These general terms and conditions apply to every order placed via www.appiavini.be, as well as to every purchase in our physical shop / via collection. By placing an order, you accept these terms without reservation.

Article 3 — Age requirement (sale of alcoholic beverages)

The sale of alcoholic beverages to minors is prohibited by law. By placing an order, you declare that you are at least 18 years old. Appia Vini reserves the right to carry out an age check on delivery and to refuse delivery if age cannot be proven.

Article 4 — Offer and prices

  • All prices are expressed in euros (€), including VAT, unless stated otherwise.
  • Despite our care in pricing correctly, mistakes may occur. In the event of an obvious pricing error, we reserve the right to refuse or correct the order, after notifying the customer in advance.

Article 5 — Ordering and payment

  • An order is final as soon as you place it via the website and receive a confirmation e-mail.
  • Payment is made when you collect your order.
  • Appia Vini reserves the right to refuse orders in case of suspected fraud, if stock is exhausted, or for any other legitimate reason.

Article 6 — Delivery and collection

Collection: orders can be collected free of charge at Rozenstraat 8, 3500 Hasselt, by appointment.

Delivery: we deliver in Belgium and the neighbouring countries. Delivery times are communicated approximately.

The risk of loss or damage passes to the customer upon delivery.

In the event of a visibly damaged delivery (e.g. a broken bottle), we ask that you report this within 72 hours via info@appiavini.be, preferably with a photo.

Article 7 — Right of withdrawal

In accordance with Belgian and European legislation on distance selling, as a consumer you have 14 calendar days from receipt of your order to withdraw from the agreement without giving a reason.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, notify us via info@appiavini.be with an unambiguous statement.

Exceptions to the right of withdrawal: the right of withdrawal does not apply to:

  • Opened or partly consumed bottles
  • Products that have been put together specifically to order (e.g. a customised wine package at the customer’s request)

Returned, unopened products must be sent back in their original, undamaged packaging. The costs of return shipping are borne by the customer, unless the product was not in conformity.

Article 8 — Warranty and complaints

As a consumer you have legal rights regarding the conformity of delivered goods. In the event of a defect or non-conforming delivery, please contact us via info@appiavini.be. We aim to handle every complaint within 30 working days.

Article 9 — Liability

Appia Vini is not liable for damage resulting from improper use or excessive consumption of alcoholic beverages. We urge responsible alcohol consumption.

Article 10 — Disputes and applicable law

Belgian law applies to all agreements between Appia Vini and the customer. In the event of disputes, only the courts of the judicial district of Limburg have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the consumer’s option to file a complaint via the European ODR platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
