"Organic wines for organic people"
- Region
- Puglia — Valle d'Itria
- Current owner
- Sergio Elia
Before starting his own winery, this ambitious oenologist (a graduate of the University of Piacenza) gained his first experience at Antinori, the world-famous Tuscan wine producer of, among others, Tignanello. In Australia (Rolf Binder Wines) he studied Australian winemaking techniques and compared them with the Italian ones. He also spent a long period in Piedmont (Costa di Bussia), where he deepened and broadened his technical knowledge, including advanced oak-ageing techniques.
Ever since La Repubblica singled him out as a great rising talent, demand has been many times greater than supply.
"In 2018 I decided to return to Puglia and create a cellar entirely of my own, investing in the Valle d'Itria where I was born and raised."— Sergio Elia
