"Vite dedicate al vino."
- Region
- Piedmont — Nizza di Monferrato
- Current owner
- The Aresca family
In Mombercelli, among the rolling hills of Monferrato and the Langhe — together a UNESCO World Heritage site — the story of Aresca began in 1952. The brothers Luigi and Piero Aresca took their first steps there, driven by the same three pillars that still carry the company today: tradition, passion and the pursuit of excellence.
What began as a small winegrowing family grew into a family business that now spans three generations — each time passed on from father to son, "from hand to hand", as they like to put it themselves. One of their best-known wines, the Nizza San Luigi, is even named after founder Luigi himself, who always believed in the potential of this grape.
Aresca works exclusively with indigenous Piedmontese grape varieties — no international imports, but the classics of the region: Barbera, Nebbiolo, Grignolino, Dolcetto and Cortese. The result is a wide range, from the renowned Barbera d'Asti and Nizza to Barolo, Grignolino d'Asti and Gavi DOCG.
Sustainability also has a prominent place: the company uses electricity from renewable sources, and through a return system empty bottles are washed, sterilised and reused — good for a waste reduction of as much as 80%.
"Soprattutto siamo una famiglia che, da 3 generazioni, condivide passione e tramanda conoscenza di padre in figlio"— Aresca
